Who we are
Architecture is an opportunity to shape environments that are alive, responsive, and deeply connected to nature. Botanical Buildings is a platform dedicated to exploring how greenery and the built world can coexist, creating spaces that benefit both people and the planet.
We research, curate, and analyze architectural projects that integrate living systems - through vertical forests, biophilic facades, climate-responsive greenhouses, and regenerative urban landscapes. Our goal is to document and celebrate these projects while fostering discussion around the future of sustainable, plant-driven design.
What starts here as a collection of case studies and ideas may evolve into something more: a think tank, a creative practice, or a network of designers and thinkers reimagining how architecture and nature can thrive together.
Botanical Buildings is founded and curated by Adam Sitterly, an architect passionate about weaving nature into the built environment. With a background in architectural design and a fascination for biophilic spaces, this platform is both a personal archive and an open invitation to others who share the same vision.
If you’re an architect, urban planner, researcher, or someone who believes cities should be greener, you’re in the right place. Let’s grow this idea together!
